Georg Fischer Profile
George Fischer, a leading manufacturer of piping systems, casting solutions, and machining solutions, founded in 1802 by Jon Conrad Fischer when he bought a water-driven mill in the Mühlental valley near Schaffhausen in Switzerland. The founder used the mill as a copper manufacturing plant and worked to develop innovative alloys, and very soon started trading and exporting products to other countries. By 1827 the vigorous inventor succeeded in producing the malleable cast iron; from his travels to countries like France, Germany, Austria, and England, he picked up ideas and achieved inspiration to introduce such remarkable products. However, the George Fischer brand was officially registered in 1881. The company has used the + sign in its logo since 1890, which signifies a stylized fitting that is even now considered among the most significant product producers. For more than 200 years, the company has succeeded in acquiring a global leader, manufacturer, and provider’s position on the international market for providing premium-quality products worldwide.
