Eschenbach is a leading manufacturing brand, founded in 1913 in Nuremberg, Germany by Josef Eschenbach. The founder of the company Josef Eschenbach registered the company as a wholesaler of optical products and precision drawing instruments. In 1923 Josef’s son Rudolph Eschenbach took over the company and managed it for the next 40 successful years. He pioneered the importation of binoculars from the Far East and moved the company to its current location in Nuremburg, Germany.
Rudolph also started the unique production initiatives at the company, which have evolved into the manufacturing expertise that sets Eschenbach products apart from competing ones. Today, the company is known for developing products of enhanced performance like, stand magnifiers, handheld magnifiers, reading glasses, telescopes, absorptive filters, video & technical magnifiers, non-optical devices, diagnostic dispensing systems, and displays. With time being the firm has developed many sales and production sites in many countries such as, Latin America, Mexico, North America, and many other nations across the globe.

Traditionally the usable lens diameter of a 7x (28Dpt) magnifier would be appx.35mm. The powerlux maintains its large lens diameter of 58mm through all 3 of its powers - 3.5, 5 & 7x. Eschenbach have achieved this large field of view at 7x by using a double lens system of both aspheric and diffractive lenses.
The large lens diameters combined with an ergonomic design which provides the user with a relaxed hand position (both left and right handed) makes for maximum reading comfort and exceptional ease of use.
The illumination is provided by 2 LEDs positioned opposite each other for pin point illumination of the reading material and after 30 minutes of non-use the product will switch itself off to prolong the battery life.
