RS PRO 220 V AC 5 VA Replacement Solenoid Coil, Compatible with 01V Series Valve This RS PRO replacement solenoid coil is suitable for use with an 01V Series hydraulic solenoid valve. Solenoid valves are used to control the flow of liquid, most commonly as a low-power switch operating a series of valves. They're found in a wide range of applications, including automatic irrigation systems, food processing and pneumatic automation. The solenoid is an electromagnet consisting of a metal coil tightly wrapped around a solid metal core. It's housed in a plastic casing and terminated with a 3-pin DIN plug for assembly with the valve (DIN stands for Deutsches Institut für Normung, or the German Institute for Standardisation). It takes a power supply voltage of 220 V AC with power consumption of 5 VA. Part of the RS PRO range, this coil has been stringently tested for reliability.
