Tubes
Tubes are more suitable for structural applications. Moreover, they are not required to have the standard cylindrical shapes, but they can also come in rectangles and be customized.

The pipes are measured more with the nominal pipe diameter and wall thickness. At the same time, nominal diameter is usually a measurement of the pipes in non-specific terms.
Hoses
Hoses are versatile and can be used for a wide range of applications in varying situations. Hoses also follow a wide range of standards. The materials used in manufacturing hoses are also different than the tubes and pipes. Hoses are mostly made out of non-metallic materials like nylon, rubber, etc., and are highly flexible. The most common situations in which hoses can be used include:
