RS PRO Steel 3,100 Piece Hex Socket Drive Screw / Bolt, Nut & Washer Kit This hex socket fastener kit from the trusted RS PRO line contains 3,100 steel fasteners. You'll find hex socket head machine screws, washers and two types of nut in a range of metric thread sizes from M4 to M10. To keep everything organised, they come in a large workshop storage unit. The screw / bolt, nut and washer kit features eight different screw lengths, ranging from 10 mm to 50 mm. The internal hex drive screw head is designed for tightening with a hex (or Allen) key and is ideal for jobs in limited spaces where you can't use a regular spanner or socket. The kit contains both regular and self-locking nylon insert (Nyloc) hex nuts, so you can choose the type most suitable type for the task. The fasteners are made of bright-zinc-plated (BZP) steel that provides moderate corrosion resistance, so is best suited for use in dry indoor environments. Their metric thread sizes range from M3 to M5. The machine screws are supplied in six lengths from 6 mm to 25 mm and have a slotted-cheese-type head that sits above the material surface and accepts a regular flat screwdriver. They're fully threaded and are designed to be used with a nut or inserted into a tapped hole. The nuts conform to the DIN (Deutsches Institut für Normung, or the German organization for standardization) 934 specification for hex nuts used with standard metric tools. The zinc-plated finish provides moderate corrosion resistance that makes the screws, nuts and washers most suitable for indoor or dry outdoor environments.
