UV LEDs

UV LEDs represent Ultraviolet Light-emitting diodes. This Led generates Light in the VU spectrum that is actually less than 400 nm. UV light can be seen with naked eyes and is usually found in color bluey purple.

Differences between traditional UV lamps and UV led sources

Traditional arc lamps make use of an electric arc in the inner side of the mercury gas to alert atoms which then spoil and produce photons. Microwave lamps excite the gas through a microwave emitting process. At the same time, UV LEDs semiconductors produce a narrow bandwidth of energy at the junction.
