Klaxon Sonos LED Base Sounder Beacon
The Klaxon Sonos LED Base can accommodate various detector heads from major manufacturers. It reduces wiring and installation costs and provides both detection and alarm at the same point. With the addition of a cover plate, it can be used as a standalone sounder beacon. The Sonos LED base has twelve high powered LEDs and a 95 dB sounder and complies with the Disability and Discrimination Act (DDA). The beacon can be seen from every angle including directly below the unit.

The RA201/200 series sounder / beacon uses a parabolic reflector which, driven by an electric motor, revolves around a continuously illuminated lamp on the vertical axis of the beacon creating a powerful beam of light travelling through 360°. Generally, this type of beacon has a greater degree of light output than other models but this is off-set by the fact that the parabolic reflector only illuminates one given point at a time. This sounder / beacon also incorporates a piezo buzzer producing 85db, giving the user two signals in one unit.
