A1101/2/3/4/6 Hall Effect Sensor Switch, Allegro Microsystems The Allegro A1101/2/3/4 and A1106 Hall-effect switches are produced with BiCMOS technology enabling fast power-on time and low-noise operation. Device programming is performed after packaging, to ensure increased switch-point accuracy by eliminating offsets that could be induced by package stress. Unique Hall element geometries and low offset amplifiers minimise noise and to reduce the residual offset voltage normally caused by device over-molding and thermal stress. The Allegro A1101/2/3/4 and A1106 a voltage regulator, Hall voltage generator, small-signal amplifier, Schmitt trigger, and NMOS output transistor. The integrated voltage regulator permits operation from 3.8 V to 24 V and on-board protection circuitry provides a ±30 V absolute maximum voltage rating. All devices in the family are identical except for magnetic switchpoint levels. This device has an integrated regulator permitting operation to 24 V. They are suitable for operation through extended temperature ranges from -40°C to 150°C. Activation the A1126 with either a north or a south polarity and without a magnetic field, the output is off. This magnetic polarity independence makes it an excellent replacement for reed switches. It also simplifies manufacturing as it does not require the magnets to be orientated. The A1126 is rated for operation between the ambient temperatures –40°C to 150°C.
