Electrical tapes are designed to insulate the electricity-conducting wires or other materials that carry electrical currents. They protect the people and other components by preventing power transmission of a wide variety of wiring by insulating them. They feature an adhesive backing for applying to cables that protect against fire hazards, electric shocks, UV radiation, dust, moisture, dirt, and a range of solvents. Furthermore, they are resistant to abrasion and are flame retardant and used when installing or repairing electrical wiring. Additionally, they come in varied thicknesses, widths, materials, and colours that suit a range of specific applications.

Colours of Electrical Tapes:

Electrical tape comes in multiple colours and combinations that are used to mask them and code the voltage levels and phases of the specific wires (phasing tapes). The following are the insulating tape colours.
