AZM 200ST2-T-1P2PW, Schmersal

AZM 200ST2-T-1P2PW, Schmersal

Schmersal AZM200 Solenoid Interlock Switch Solenoid interlocks demand accurate alignment of actuator and device, the patented AZM 200 solenoid interlock from Schmersal eliminates this problem due to newly developed sensor technology. The actuator and interlock can now have an offset of ± 5 mm and the actuator still engages the interlock. This simplifies the mounting and reduces regular maintenance and adjustment of the safety guard. As an additional installation feature, the AZM 200 has two slotted mounting holes, enabling a quick and smooth mounting on aluminium profiles or steel frames using just two screws. The slim, symmetrical design is ideally suited for installation on current profiles with a minimum width of 40 mm. Three LED's indicate the operating state. Therefore, the operator always knows whether the door is released for unlatching. This interlock offers enormous advantages particularly for fences around hazardous areas with walk-in access. Due to the one-hand operation of the emergency handle, the hazardous area can be left quickly and safely, even during a power failure. The AZM 200 increases machine availability through the integrated modern electronics. This is because intelligent diagnosis provides fast trouble-shooting. A fault does not lead to an immediate machine switch-off, the fault is first signalled so that the machine can be progressively shut down in a controlled manner. The AZM 200 can even be wired in series with other AZM 200 solenoid interlocks and also with the Schmersal safety sensor CSS 180. This feature considerably reduces the wiring costs and simplifies the set-up of safety circuits. Thermoplastic enclosure Guard locking monitored Electronic contact-free, coded system Maximum length of the sensor chain 200 m Self-monitoring series-wiring of 31 sensors 3 LEDs to show operating conditions Sensor technology permits an offset between actuator and interlock ...

MZM 100 ST2-1P2PWRE-A, Schmersal

MZM 100 ST2-1P2PWRE-A, Schmersal

Schmersal MZM100 Solenoid Interlock Switch The MZM100 Safety switch from Schmersal has a solenoid interlock without a positive-linked mechanical locking mechanism. It uses an electromagnet to generate a 500-N holding force and then transmits the signal “interlock locked” to the safety-monitoring module. The forced-closed operating principle of the MZM100 switch offers multiple advantages. Mechanical wear becomes a thing of the past because of the absence of moving parts. The actuator and the locking mechanism are free from play and therefore neutralise undesired noises, even on machines with high vibrations. Despite the absence of play between actuator and interlock, the system tolerates large door misalignments. The smooth surfaces of actuator and interlock furthermore provide for the simplicity of cleaning. An integrated sensor, functioning according to the patented pulse-echo operating principle from Schmersal, detects and monitors the position of the safety guard. Multiple safety switchgear can be monitored by means of one safety-monitoring module, without detriment to the safety level, saving money and clearing space in the control cabinet. The MZM100 fulfils the requirements of control category 4 to EN 954-1 or SIL 3 to IEC 61508 and the magnetic locking principle complies, amongst others, with EN 60947-5-1. Because of its compact size, the MZM100 can be fitted on conventional 40 mm machine profiles. It is suitable for light safety guards on packaging and wrapping machines thanks to its insensitivity to vibration, and is ideal for use in the food-processing industry because it has no surfaces, where dust and dirt can gather. Automatic latching Solenoid interlocks (for the protection of people) with innovating and unique operating principle Dimensions 40 x 179 x 40 mm Electronic contact-free, coded system Thermoplastic enclosure Maximum length of the sensor chain 200 m 3 LEDs to show operating conditions Sensor technology permits an offset between actuator...

RSS16-D-R-SK, Schmersal

RSS16-D-R-SK, Schmersal

Schmersal RSS16 Non Contact Safety Switch The RFID safety sensor RSS16 is based on the design of the AZ16. The versatile construction is now available as a non-contact system with wear-free RFID technology for the most demanding requirements of safety level and protection against manipulation. It has universal three-sided actuation which allows the RSS16 to be mounted in different situations. The non-contact operating principle allows a high tolerance for misaligned doors and in addition to the purely mechanical solution enables an actuation direction to the side of the sensor surface. The robust construction of the RSS16, in the version with the magnetic latching that has an integrated damping element, allows it to be used as a door hinge with latching forces up to 60 N. Installation benefits also offer the connectivity options built-in plug or terminal connection area with four connection openings, combined here for the first time with the Schmersal RFID technology. This allows the cable routing to be accurately assembled in a series circuit and adapted to the individual machine geometry. Thermoplastic enclosure 3 different directions of actuation Door stop with magnetic latching Connection terminal or plug connection Suitable for series-wiring Series-wiring Included in standard version Coding With latching, stock nos. 880-1876 & 880-1889 , approx. 40 - 60 N IP65, IP67 to IEC/EN 60529 Encoding level "high" according to ISO 14119 with an individual RFID code Suitable for applications up to PL e / category 4 to EN ISO 13849-1 and SIL 3 to IEC 61508 Note Actuator must be ordered separately.
