What are Interface Relay Modules?
Interface relay modules are a special type of electrical relay manufactured to ensure informational and electrical adjustment for a straight connection because of a huge difference in potentials.
A unique galvanic isolation module between the input (control) and output (switching) circuits of the relay is a frequent design element of these devices. Interface relays are frequently employed in high voltage (10-100 kV) electrical and electrophysical equipment protection and control systems, as well as in high power installations.

Basic design and functions
A basic electromagnetic relay is made up of an iron yoke that works as a low-reluctance conduit for magnetic flux, a coil of wire wound around a soft iron core (a solenoid), a moveable iron armature, and one or more sets of contacts (there are two contacts in the relay pictured). The yoke and one or more sets of moving contacts are mechanically connected to the armature, which is hinged to it. A spring holds the armature in place so that when the relay is de-energized, the magnetic circuit has an air gap.
What is the purpose of interface relay modules?
There is some degree of isolation between the input and output circuits in every electromagnetic relay. However, this function is uncommon in regular relays and is not considered by the current categorization scheme for relays. However, the ability of galvanic isolation (decoupling) between the input and output circuits is much enhanced in interface relays, and the parameters of galvanic isolation are of the highest significance from the perspective of the functions carried out by this relay.
