NCV8871 Non-Synchronous Boost Controller Evaluation Kits, ON Semiconductor The ON Semiconductor NCV8871 non-synchronous boost controller range is supported by three development kits for its use in various applications. Each board features the ON Semiconductor NCV887100D1R2G Boost Controller IC (RS 823-4144 ). This controller has an adjustable output to drive an external N-channel MOSFET. The IC incorporates several protection features including internally set soft-start, under voltage-lockout, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, hiccup-mode short circuit protection and thermal shutdown. ON Semiconductor NCV8871LVBGEVB (RS 117-6725 ) Adjustable Output Boost Controller Evaluation Board The NCV8871LVB evaluation board demonstrates a 10 W start stop boost application. The board supplies a 10.6 V output with 1 A of output current from as low as a 5 V input. The enable pin can also be used to synchronise the supply to an external clock. ON Semiconductor NCV8871SEPGEVB (RS 117-6726 ) Automotive SEPIC Controller Evaluation Board This evaluation board enables you to test a high-frequency current-mode control SEPIC converter design. It has two inductors and no additional components are required. Use an external clock to synchronise the switching frequency. The output is rated at 12 V, 2 A with a 170 kHz switching frequency over the 6 V to 18 V automotive input voltage range.
